In collaboration with University of Goettingen, UNJA, UPI, and UM, Undiksha has been successfully hosting a virtual public lecture as part of the Dissemination Program of CRC 990: Ecological and Socioeconomic Functions of Tropical Lowland Rainforest Transformation Systems (EFForTS) Public Relation (PR) Project. The public lecture served as a platform to showcase the endeavors of the EFForTS PR Project in bridging the gap between science and education for sustainable oil palm management. Taking place on January 11, 2024, the virtual event attracted an impressive audience of 242 participants. Among the attendees were 198 enthusiastic students, 38 dedicated lecturers, and 6 esteemed teachers. This diverse participation underscores the widespread interest and commitment to exploring avenues for sustainable practices in oil palm management.
Throughout the engaging sessions, participants delved into insightful discussions, exchanged valuable perspectives, and gained deeper insights into the principles and practices of sustainable oil palm management. The public lecture served as a catalyst for knowledge dissemination, fostering collaboration, and nurturing a collective commitment towards environmental sustainability and responsible resource management.
