Singaraja. Located in the FMIPA seminar room, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Ganesha Tengah Education University is preparing for laboratory accreditation. To support this, an ISO 17025 Laboratory Accreditation Preparation Workshop was held: ISO/IEC 17025 Personnel Training Phase I and Preparation/Socialization of Level 1-4 Quality Management System Documents from 17 October to 19 October 2023. This workshop involved consultants, namely Drs. Adnan Rahman, M.Pd from Globe Consulting Indonesia attended by lecturers and laboratory managers at the Undiksha Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
Dean of FMIPA Undiksha Dr. I Wayan Sukra Warpala, S.Pd., M.Sc said that Laboratory Accreditation is an effort to support increased sample testing from outside parties so that it has an impact on increasing Undiksha’s inegreting income. This also supports Undiksha as a state university with a legal entity (PTNBH). “To support this, the implementation of ISO 17025 is very important in laboratories, and it is hoped that it can be strengthened in this workshop,” he said.
The Dean of FMIPA also said that the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences had held 2 workshops, the first of which invited 2 Technical Assistants to provide understanding to the FMIPA academic community. Currently, the FMIPA laboratory has only released test results for research by lecturers, students, and several collaboration partners. Tests carried out include water quality tests, testing the essential oil content of several flowers and leaves, cloves, and so on, testing perfume oils and the content of various marine commodities that have prospects for medicinal ingredients, apart from that they have also been used in research collaborations with internal and external researchers. country.
