On May 13, 2023, at the MIPA Faculty seminar room, FMIPA Undiksha held a Technical Assistance activity regarding Manuscript Clinics and Professional Management of Scientific Journals. This activity was guided by a resource person who is experienced in his field, namely Prof. Dr. Parmin, S.Pd., M.Pd asEditor-in-chief Indonesian Science Education Journal (JPI), Sinta Journal 1 (Q2) Semarang State University.
This activity was attended by the Head of the Department, Study Program Coordinator, Journal Manager, Young Lecturers within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences as well as 3 representatives of lecturers from each study program within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Ganesha Education University. This activity was held to help students, lecturers, and journal managers within the FMIPA environment in improving the quality and efficiency of managing scientific journals professionally. During this activity, Prof. Dr. Parmin provides guidance and consultation in terms of managing manuscripts, manuscript evaluation, editing, and overall journal management. He also provided an explanation of the editorial process and good scientific writing techniques.
In this activity, participants were also allowed to ask questions and discuss the problems they faced in managing scientific journals and manuscripts.
With this technical assistance activity, it is hoped that participants can improve the quality and efficiency of managing their scientific journals and reduce errors in the editorial process. This activity is also expected to increase the number and quality of manuscripts produced and published in scientific journals so that they can make a positive contribution to the development of science and technology in Indonesia.
