Singaraja. After previously achieving achievements, the team of FMIPA or Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences), UNDIKSHA or Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha is flying again in international competitions. This time at the Indonesia International IoT Olympiad (I3O) held by Universitas Muria Kudus, two teams (Mathematics collaborated with other study programmes) won gold medals for their innovative work. The series of events held from 8 to 22 May 2022. The participants were about 200 teams from 14 countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Mexico, the United States, and so on.

The Team 1, UNDIKSHA consisted of Ni Wayan Ayu Kesumawati, Ni Kadek Dwi Utami, Putu Wia Rosita Dewi, Kadek Gita Cahyani, & Ni Luh Gede Kusumasari. All of them from Matgematics Education Study Programme with the supervisor, I Made Suarsana, S.Pd., M.Si.
This team brought a work in the form of learning media for deaf students named Fun Math. This work is a Mathematics Pop Up Book integrated with augmented reality technology.
The Mathematical material in this media is packaged according to the characteristics of deaf students and is based on culture (ethnomathematics). The innovation of this innovative work could not be separated from the desire to help make it easier for deaf students to learn mathematics. Materials, especially abstract shapes, can be easily understood. Under the supervisor, I Made Suarsana, S.Pd., M.S, this work won a gold medal in the education category and special awards from the Malaysia Young Scientists Organization (MYSO).
The team 2 consisted of I Ketut Adi Darma Yatra from the Mathematics Study Programme, Luh Hanny Arsana Putri from the Mathematics Study Programme, I Made Bhisma Putra Nugraha from the Informatics Engineering Education Study Programme, I Made Kerisna Laksana from the Information Systems Study Programme, and I Gede Agus Sudiantara from Primary School Teacher Education Study Programme with the supervisor, I Putu Pasek Suryawan S.Pd., M.Pd.
This team presented the work “B-Fiks: Interactive Literacy Learning Media To Strengthen The Alpha Generation”s Education Of Character During The Post Pandemic Era”. This work is an innovation of learning media that raises the problem of low literacy in Indonesia.
The team thought about solutions that could be used to improve literacy that could be integrated with online-based learning. Through that, the guidance team of I Putu Pasek Suryawan S.Pd., M.Pd., won a gold medal in the education category.
The success of this achievement was greeted with pride by the team. This achievement is also used as a motivation to take part in other competitions, especially at the international level.
This achievement received appreciation from the Dean and also from the heads of the FMIPA, UNDIKSHA environment. The Dean of FMIPA, UNDIKSHA, Prof. Dr. Nengah Suparta, M.Si said “We from the leadership are very proud of the achievements that have been achieved by the student team and give extraordinary appreciation to students for their success in achieving this achievement and thank you to Supervisor, I Putu Pasek Suryawan S.Pd., M.Pd. and I Made Suarsana, S.Pd., M.Si. and the FMIPA Student Achievement Team for their support.
