The Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Ganesha Education University (UNDIKSHA) underwent an online field assessment. The COVID-19 outbreak has caused study program accreditation activities at FMIPA UNDIKSHA to not be able to run as usual. For two days, Thursday (23/7) and Friday (24/7), during the online visitation activity, two assessors consisting of Prof. Dr. Sri Mulyani Endang Susilowati, M.Pd. – Semarang State University and Dr. Diah Rachmawati, S.Si., M.Si – Gadjah Mada University attended the ceremony and listened to the presentation via the internet network.
The first day of the visit begins with the opening of the assessment, introduction of the assessor panel, and reading and signing of the field assessment statement by the assessor and UPPS leadership, the statement is made by the UPPS leadership first and sent to the assessor panel to be signed by sending to BAN-PT related confirmation: UPPS development plan, face-to-face system, management system, reported UPPS achievements, and accredited PS development plans, and determination of final LKPS data which will be used as the basis for quantitative item assessment by the UPPS leadership and the Head/Coordinator of the Study Program. Confirmation of the implementation, results, and effectiveness of the SPMI process at UPPS which covers the entire PPEPP cycle. Checking standard documents, manuals, instruments/tools, and periodic reports on SPMI results in the Study Program management unit by UPPS Leadership, quality assurance implementers at UPPS, Accreditation Team, Information Systems Manager implementing Quality Assurance at UPPS, Confirmation of data and information in the Self-Evaluation Report (LED)/ Form IIIA by the Accreditation Team. Confirmation of aspects related to the implementation of higher education management for functional areas: academic programs (tri dharma) and resource management (HR, finance, assets and facilities, and information systems) by laboratory heads, expertise groups, Scientific Information Services units, sessions with alumni and external users, confirmation of expectations, satisfaction or input from external stakeholders regarding the output of the Study Program Management unit. Even visits to a number of required points are also carried out online.
The second day continued with a session with lecturers confirming the performance, involvement, service, and satisfaction of lecturers, followed by a session with educational staff confirming performance, involvement, service, and satisfaction of educational staff engagement, achievement, and service. And continued with the session with students. Even though it is carried out virtually, the field assessment process can still run optimally and all field assessment processes can run smoothly and without problems. This is not much different from a direct field assessment. Submission of the minutes to the UPPS leadership and checking of the field assessment minutes by the PT leadership. The signing of the field assessment minutes and Wrap Up. The field assessment event is carried out by the UPPS leadership first and sent to the assessor panel to be signed and sent to Ban-PT.
Through this online visitation activity, it is hoped that the accreditation score for the Biology Education Study Program will get the best results.
