Singaraja, November 13, 2024 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences (FMIPA) at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) hosted a significant event that included the signing of an MoU and internship contract with PT Hosata in Hokkaido, Japan, as well as a socialization session for future internship opportunities. The event was attended by Dr. I Wayan Sukra Warpala, S.Pd., M.Sc., Dean of FMIPA, along with the Coordinator of the Aquaculture Study Program, Dr. I Gede Iwan Setiabudi, S.Pd., M.Si., and other academic staff.
This event, held at the FMIPA Seminar Room, marked the implementation of a collaborative effort to enhance industrial internships for students from the Aquaculture and Biotechnology Study Programs. The activities comprised three main highlights:
- Signing of the MoU between FMIPA Undiksha, PT Hosohata in Hokkaido, and LPK ACTI
- Internship Socialization for 2026, presented by SATO-San and Pak Deepa from LPK ACTI
- Signing of Internship Contract for three selected Aquaculture students:
– Iqbal Mauretta
– Immanuel Kristo Limbong
– Joy Steven Emmanuela
These 3 students’ successfully passed the rigorous selection process and are currently undergoing Japanese Language preparation facilitated by LPK ACTI. They are scheduled to depart in April 2025 and will complete their internship program by November 2025. Notably, the students’ arrival in Hokkaido will coincide with the blooming of sakura flowers, while their departure will be marked by the serene snow. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the Fisheries and Aquaculture sector abroad, especially in Japan, while strengthening the reputation of FMIPA’S Aquaculture and Fisheries study programs. This program signifies a continuous effort to expand international internship opportunities, aiming to enhance the quality and competencies of graduates and further solidify the university’s global presence.
