Singaraja – Students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA) at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) proudly brought National recognition to their campus by securing 3rd place in the Manufacture and Applied Technology category at the 2024 Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship competition (KMI) Expo. The event was hosted by Halu Oleo University, Kendari. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. I Dewa Ketut Sastrawidana, S.Si., M.Si., the Ecopave team, comprising students from various faculties, demonstrated outstanding teamwork and creativity. Their journey at KMI Expo 2024 included preparing an engaging booth, delivering business presentations, and responding to challenging questions from the judges during a rigorous assessment process.
Beyond winning, the KMI Expo 2024 provided an invaluable opportunity for all participants. It allowed them to learn, exchange ideas, and build networks with students from various universities across Indonesia.
The road to victory was not easy and required meticulous preparation and hard work. Severa; factors contributed to the Ecopave team’s success: 1.) Team solidarity: Strong collaboration and mutua; support among team members were fundamental to their achievement; 2.) Competent Guidance: Dedicated support and advice from supervisors across faculties played a crucial role ; 3.) Thorough preparation: The team meticulously prepared their product, presentation and interview materials; 4.) Creativity and Innovation: Their unique and innovative business idea captivated the judges and audience.
The Ecopave team’s achievement serves as a motivation for other FMIPA Undiksha Teams to explore their interest and talent in entrepreneurship. It also underscores the immense potential of Undiksha to compete on both national or international stages. This success highlights the importance of continuous mentorship and development efforts within Undiksha to enhance student readiness for various competitions. With sustained support, Undiksha aims to solidify its reputation as a hub for entrepreneurial innovation and excellence.
