Singaraja- The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) held a national seminar (Semnas), on Saturday (12/11/2022). The seminar which is on the agenda this year is a space to disseminate the research results of academics and increase enthusiasm for research.
This seminar, which took place in a hybrid manner, carried the theme “Recognition of Research Results in Mathematics, Science and Mathematics and Natural Sciences Learning”. There were three main speakers presented, namely Prof. Darmawan, Ph.D., Professor of Mathematics at Udayana University, Dr. Mohamad Rafi from IPB University, and Dr. I Wayan Sukrawarpala from Undiksha. Apart from that, there were four invited speakers from internal FMIPA Undiksha, including Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Jelantik Swastha; Dr. I Nyoman Suwindra, Dr. Nyoman Sukajaya, and Dr.rer.nat. I Gusti Ngurah Agung Suryaputra. “This activity also presents accompanying speakers from various institutions,” said the Chair of the committee, Dr. Gede Agus Beni Widana, S.Si., M.Sc.
This seminar, continued by Beni Widana, is a space to publish the results of his research, both basic and applied science studies as well as mathematics and science education studies. “We hope that through this, research results can be increasingly published and can provide benefits for the development of science in the future,” he added.
This event was opened by the Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service, Dr. I Ketut Sudiana. He represented the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel hopes that this seminar can increase the enthusiasm of lecturers to conduct research. “From research activities to publications, it will contribute to the performance of lecturers and universities,” he said. He added that the research results presented at this seminar need to be further disseminated to a wider audience, one of which is through relevant journals.
