Singaraja – On Friday, October 18, 2024, the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held a National Seminar on Chemistry and Chemistry Education with the theme “The Role of Chemistry and Chemistry Education in Supporting Sustainable Development.” The seminar took place at the FMIPA Undiksha Seminar Room and began at 08.00 WITA.
The event featured several distinguished keynote speakers, including Prof. Dr. H. Raden Asep Kadarohman from Indonesia University of Education (UPI), Prof. Dr. I Wayan Redhana, M.Si., from Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Meytij J. Rampe, M.Si., from the State University of Manado (Unima) and Prof. Dr. Woro Sumarni, M.Si., from the State University of Semarang (Unnes). Additionally, invited speakers such as I Wayan Madiya, S.Pd., M.Pd., from Bali Mandara High School, and I Putu Sudibawa, S.Pd., M.Pd., from SMAN 1 Semarapura, contributed their insights to the discussions.
The seminar was officially opened by the Vice Dean I of FMIPA, Dr. I Wayan Puja Astawa, S.Pd., M.Stat.Sci., and continued with article presentations in two parallel sessions focusing on Chemistry and Chemistry Education. This seminar aimed to highlight the important role of chemistry in promoting sustainable development. It also provided a platform for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences regarding recent advancements in the field of chemistry and chemistry education, fostering collaboration and innovation.
