Banyuwangi, 25/11 (Atnews) – Fisheries and Maritime Affairs students from the Aquaculture and Marine Cultivation Study Program at Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) took part in the Community Service activity “Maritime School 2019” on Santen Island, Karangrejo District, Banyuwangi Regency.
This activity was carried out for 3 days by Universitas Airlangga PSDKU Banyuwangi and HIMAPIKANI REGION IV and was attended by 22 people from various universities, especially students in the field of fisheries and maritime affairs.
Those participating in this activity were Ganesha Education University, Warmadewa University, Terunojoyo Madura University, Hang Tuah University, Muhammadiyah Gresik University, and PGRI Banyuwangi University
The target of this service is aimed at coastal communities, namely SDN 2 Karangrejo, which is attended by 15-20 students. The thing that is emphasized to children is how to protect coastal nature and process plastic waste into useful materials so that it does not pollute the environment, especially beaches.
In this case, the children were very enthusiastic and received positively the arrival of the volunteers. (*)
