Singaraja– Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Undiksha held a Working Meeting (Raker) for the 2021 fiscal year program, Wednesday (22/1/2020). The meeting which took place at the Puri Saron Hotel made higher education clustering a priority program. “This is also included in the chancellor’s work contract with the ministry,” said the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suparta, M.Si when confirmed on the sidelines of the activity.
Several things cannot be separated from the clustering or ranking of universities, such as study program accreditation, quality of human resources, and research and innovation programs. “These things support clustering. Therefore, the quality must be improved. “How can our resources be adequate, the ratio of lecturers to students appropriate, and more and more innovation will emerge,” he said.
More specifically regarding the innovation program, according to Suparta, the potential for development is in the form of a business incubator. Human Resources in the Faculty are also seen as very supportive. His party has proposed the program to the relevant ministries. “If this is accepted, we will start business units driven by lecturers and students who are focused on scientific business,” he said. Making this program smooth, and expanding cooperation and communication with many parties, including abroad, needs to be carried out by all lecturers. “Especially with the internationalization at home program launched by the Chancellor, of course expanding communication is very important,” he continued.
This working meeting was opened by the Head of Undiksha’s General and Financial Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H. She hopes that the program launched by the faculty can fully support the acceleration of realizing Undiksha’s vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia by 2045. “The Chancellor often conveys how we can excel by 2025. Of course, this must have support from the faculty,” she stressed. (hms)
