Science plays a very important role in all aspects of human life. Science learning is expected to be able to achieve one of the goals of the SDGs, namely quality of education. To support the SDGs in the field of education, science learning should be able to train high-level thinking skills (HOTS) which are needed by all Indonesian people. Higher-order thinking abilities (HOTS) in the form of critical, creative, argumentative, and problem-solving thinking skills can be trained through innovative learning models that can accommodate these abilities.
The material presented in this guest lecture attracted many students to express ideas and thoughts on innovative learning that can train HOTS skills. “We gained many new insights during the guest lecture with Prof. Liliasari. “A deep understanding of higher order thinking abilities (HOTS) can be sufficient provision for us when we enter the field later,” said Mutiara, one of the participants in this Series 1 Guest Lecture.
